"The Demon Babyface"
BY WILLIAM T.
A week after I finished -- six days, to be exact -- the noises started. I make a meager living, so my apartment is small, but the noises always seemed to be in the room I wasn't in.
One day I decided to try and catch whatever it was, as I thought I had rats or something, but every time I ran into the room, I found nothing. Now this may sound cliche, but it's true.
One night I was sleeping alone in my bed and was awakened by a scuffling noise. Now here's were it gets scary. I opened my eyes and saw a guy scuffling around on my floor on all fours! To this day I get chills from the image. It was unatural, like he had no bones.
Now I'm not a guy who get's paralysed when I'm scared, but I freaked out! I screamed and immediately regretted it when it looked at me. Its face was like a child's face on a man's body! I am ashamed to say, I pulled my covers over my head like a pathetic child. And thankfully, when I removed them... it was gone.
The next day, I promptly called a man (I won't give his name) who was supposedly an expert in this. He told me that despite my theory (I thought it was a poltergeist) that it was not a ghost at all. It was, in fact -- and this part chills me -- a demon. He said it fit the description of a demon he referred to as "Babyface."
I moved out a week and a half later and haven't been bothered since...but I still remember it every time I hear an unidentified noise."
"The Demon At My Grandparents' House"
"This happened in Hollywood, California in 2004 or 2005. I was about 6 or 7 and a scared-of-my-own-shadow type of boy...
I was raised in a Christian family and have always had a personal experience with God. I know that God is real, which also means that Satan is real. Meaning that demons have to be real. I would always sleep in my room at my grandma's house along with my grandpa. We slept on opposite sides of the room with a chair and lamp between us...
One night, after having said my prayers, I went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night because the lamp was on. I looked up and saw what I at first thought to be my grandpa sitting in the chair.
Boy, was I wrong! This "person" was holding a book that was covering his face. He was dressed all in black and his hands were a waxy shade of gray. I thought it odd for my grandpa to be up reading at such a late hour. So I said, "Grandpa, why are you reading so late?" I got no answer.
The book slowly lowered and... I will never forget what he looked like...
His eye sockets were sunken in at least three inches. His eyes were completely black as was his mouth. As I recall, he had veins from his lower lip to his neck. They were black as well.
Instantly, I was paralyzed with fear. I did not know what to do!
He opened his mouth and spoke, but it wasn't English. It sounded middle eastern. I cried softly, gathered up the courage to jump down and into my grandpa's bed. I then said softly, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus..." and when I looked up there was nothing there.
I don't know what it was, but I know it was real!"
"Demon From The Closet"
My family (one brother, mom, dad) lived in a small, three-bedroom house. I was in my room curling my hair when in the reflection of my bureau mirror I saw what appeared to be my brother come out of my closet, and his face was pale.
He was was wearing longjohns and his mouth was wide open as he crept along the wall. I yelled at him to get out of my room, as we had fought over this before. I put the curling iron down (taking my eyes off the mirror for one brief moment) and I went to ask my mom and dad to keep him out of my room.
Much to my surprise and horror, my brother was actually watching TV on the couch with them in regular clothes. I instantly started crying hysterically. I managed to mutter out what had happened to my parents, but I was inconsolable.
My mom looked at me calmly (almost like it wasn't her) and said, "Ignore it. If it knows it's getting to you, worse will come." Those words stick in my mind and are repulsing to me to this day. I wish never again, to have an experience like that!"
